Naduva thanks Gollings for 7s return

Fiji 7s speed machine Alasio Naduva is thankful to Coach Ben Gollings for trusting him with a spot to the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series Dubai and Cape Town 7s.

The 32-year-old soldier from Naweni Village in Cakaudrove said he is humbled to have earned the mentor’s trust.

“I want to thank Ben for trusting me and giving me a spot to Dubai and Cape Town,” Naduva said.

“The last two years I was in Sinai for peacekeeping, now back in the fold with the Fiji 7s team it is an honour to wear the white jersey again.

Naduva said he is also happy to see the new look squad, which includes some senior team mates.

"It is good to be back and gel with the new boys, it’s good to see some old war horses as well, it also motivates me since I was away, and will drive me in fighting for a spot."

“I am so happy that I am back into the team.”
