Three new Magistrates appointed

Three new Magistrates have joined Fiji’s judiciary.

The newly-appointed Resident Magistrates were sworn in by His Excellency, the President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere in the presence of Acting Chief Justice Salesi Temo, Acting Chief Magistrate Josaia Waqaivolavola and Chief Registrar Tomasi Bainivalu.

The three new Resident Magistrates are Amelia Korokaisuni Korodrau, Mareta Matana Tikoisuva and Namrata Mishra.

Korodrau, prior to her appointment served as a senior legal officer with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).

Tikoisuva, most recently practiced law in private practice at the Tikoisuva Law, specialising in commercial law, company law, and civil litigation.

Mishra, who recently joined Howards as a Solicitor, specialises in civil litigation, particularly in contracts and commercial litigation.
