Top teams go through to CC7s quarters

Raiwasa Taveuni has confirmed a spot in the quarterfinal stage of the McDonalds Coral Coast Sevens after winning its first two pool games at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka today.

The men from the Garden Island marched onto the knockout stages after beating ASM Clermont Nadroga Stallions 41-10 in its first game before beating McDonald’s Vueti Cakau 5-0.

Ram Sami Army also qualified to the next round beating Fire 21-19 and the USA Falcons 24-12.

Defending champions Say No to Drugs Police beat Saunaka 40-5 in their second pool game but struggled to a 5 all finish against Kwaiyata Yamacia.

Napolioni Bolaca’s Wadigi Salvo has also advanced to the quarterfinals after beating Tuva Rugby 12-7 and the Pacific Nomads 12-10.

The final round of pool play as well as the quarterfinals will be held tomorrow.
