Turaga adds Gold to Jasper’s medal tally

19-year-old Melania Turaga added another Gold medal to Jasper Williams High School’s tally after winning the Senior Girls 400 metres final at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva today.

Turaga clocked 58.18 seconds which is an improved time of one second from the preliminary round of 59.65 seconds.

Neomai Volau of Dreketi Central School won the Silver after clocking 60.36 seconds.

Meanwhile, Sarah Korosavu of Mahatma Gandhi High School walked away with the bronze after clocking 61.65 seconds.
