Weightlifting duo off to Australia

Two athletes with Weightlifting Fiji will compete in two separate competitions in Australia over the next two weeks.

Eroni Talemaigau and Taniela Rainibogi will compete at the 2023 Pacific Elite International Weightlifting Tournament followed tomorrow at the Victorian Weightlifting Stadium in Hawthorn followed by a follow-up tournament in Canberra on April 1.

Talemaigau alongside coach Henry Elder will also attend the Oceania Junior Training Camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra from March 26 to April 2.

Rainibogi will also join the program with renowned lifters from the Pacific region including Don Opeloge, Eileen Cikamatana, Sanele Mao and Nevo Ioane.

Team Weightlifting Fiji departs for Melbourne today.
