Western schools reign supreme in 7s

Ratu Navula College and Jasper Williams High School were crowned winners in the Vodafone Fiji Secondary School 7s competition at the HFC Bank Stadium on Saturday after reigning supreme in their respective U18 finals.

Ratu Navula defeated Suva Grammar School 15-5 in the boys final.

Earlier in the semis,Suva Grammar overcame Ra High School 12-10 while Ratu Navula edged Ba Methodist 15-10.

In the girls final, Jasper Williams proved too strong for Niusawa College from Taveuni and posted a 28-12.

Niusawa caused the biggest upset of the competition in the quarterfinals after they beat favorites Adi Cakobau School 17-12.

ACS had the services of Fijian Drua Women rep Noelani Baselala and Coke Games sprint queen Domitila Naita.

Meanwhile, Nasinu Secondary School claimed the U16 Boys title after thumping Holy Cross College from Taveuni 27-5 in the final.
