Wife killer further remanded

27-year-old Apisai Madigibuli who is alleged to have killed his pregnant wife at an apartment in Suva last month appeared for his first call at the High Court in Suva today.

He appeared before Puisne Judge Justice Dane Tuiqereqere with one count of murder.

Madigibuli has been further remanded in custody.

He was represented by Legal Aid lawyer, Paula Gade.

During the court proceeding, Justice Tuiqereqere gave the State prosecution 21 days to file full disclosures.

Seven days thereafter, Madigibuli will then take his plea.

The matter has been adjourned to June 11 for a plea.
