48 teams for Secondary Schools 7s comp

The Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union (FSSRU) officially launched its 2024 season this afternoon at Gospel High School.

The season begins tomorrow with the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools 7s competition at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

The competitions will spread across multiple venues, including HFC Bank Stadium, Buckhurst, and Bidesi Parks, starting at 8 AM.

The event will see participation from teams that have qualified from various regions including the Eastern, Western, Northern, Southern, and Maritime zones.

This year’s tournament features 32 schools, 48 teams, and 686 players across different categories, including under 16 and 18 boys, and under 18 girls.

7s Girls

The 7s tournament will be a one-day event, while the 15s competitions are set to run over a span of 8 weeks, followed by playoffs in the 10th week.

The finals are scheduled to be held over three consecutive weeks following the 11th week.
