Liverpool FC has officially announced the appointment of Arne Slot as their new head coach on a three-year contract.
Slot hails from the Netherlands and is set to take over the team from June 1, succeeding Jurgen Klopp.
He will be the first Dutch head coach in Liverpool FC’s history.
The Dutchman comes to Liverpool after a successful tenure at Feyenoord, a Dutch professional association football club where he secured a league title in 2023 and was named Eredivisie Manager of the Year twice.
His coaching achievements follow a successful playing career as a midfielder with clubs like FC Zwolle, NAC Breda, Sparta Rotterdam, and PEC Zwolle, before retiring in 2013.
