Champs Suva remain unbeaten in Skipper Cup

Reigning champions Suva remain the only unbeaten team in the 2024 Skipper Cup following their 28-23 narrow victory over Naitasiri at Bidesi Park today.

Ably led by centre John Stewart, the Capital City side managed to dethrone the Highlanders who scored first and kept the champions under pressure throughout the 80 minutes of the torrid encounter.

Fiji 7s rep Terio Tamani also played a sound game at halfback and handled the kicking duties well for the hosts.

In other Skipper Cup matches played today; Namosi edged Ba 29-27, Lautoka registered a 15-8 upset win over Tailevu in Nausori while Macuata beat Yasawa 32-15.

In a match played yesterday, Nadi defeated Nadroga 22-12.
