Raisele, 82, first to cast his vote

82-year-old Jotame Raisele was the first Fijian to cast his vote at the Suva Grammar School Polling Station at 7.30 am today.

Raisele told FijiLive that he was eager to cast his vote and has fulfilled his constitutional right today.

“I had my coffee at 5am and was here at 6am.”

“I came here relaxing and saw the officers preparing the polling station.”

“It was my right to vote and I did it. I’m happy with the choice I made today and I think everyone has their own choice to make.”

“After the writ, I was really waiting to vote today. I wanted to vote and end this year on a good note.”
