Star Trek actor Kenneth Mitchell dies at 49

Kenneth Mitchell, known for his roles in “Star Trek: Discovery” and Marvel’s “Captain Marvel,” has passed away at the age of 49.

Diagnosed with ALS in 2018, Mitchell openly shared his health journey with his followers. Born in Canada, he amassed over 50 credits in film and television throughout his career.

In “Captain Marvel” (2019), he portrayed Carol Danvers’ father, and in the 2004 film “Miracle,” he played an Olympic hockey hopeful.

His television work spanned several series, including “Jericho,” “The Astronaut Wives Club,” and “Switched at Birth.” Between 2017 and 2021, in “Star Trek: Discovery,” Mitchell took on multiple roles, including Klingons Kol, Kol-Sha, and Tenavik, as well as the character Aurellio.
