Fiji Television Limited’s Board has announced the appointment of Sunjeewa Perera as its Chief Executive.
The appointment came into effect yesterday.
Perera joins Fiji Television with leadership experience from telecommunications and marketing functions; having previous held positions as Chief Commercial Officer with BlueSky Samoa and Chief Marketing Officer with Vodafone Fiji.
Fiji TV Board Chair, Nesbit Hazelman while announcing the appointment said they look forward to Perera’s transformational leadership in reviewing the organisation’s current business model, set a new strategic direction with the Board of Fiji Television and deliver business turnaround that will reinforce shareholder confidence, meet shareholder expectations and outline a Growth Agenda that positively contributes to the FHL Group’s profitability.
He also acknowledged Poonam Nandani’s leadership and commitment in heading Fiji Television the past 10 months as Manager Finance and Acting General Manager.
Nandani will continue to be part of executive team and resumed her principal role as Manager Finance and Company Secretary from yesterday.
