Dad in viral beating video remanded: Police

The Fiji Police Force says the man captured beating his daughter in a video which has gone viral on social media has already been charged and remanded.

In a statement, Police said the incident occurred on 2 February and the father has been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and has been produced in court.

The 43-year- old is remanded and his case has been mentioned to 19 February for bail application.

Police also confirm that the video surfaced after he was remanded.
