Double header shifts to Fiji FA HQ ground

The Digicel Fiji Premier League Round 4 double header which was to be played at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori today has been shifted to the Fiji Football Association’s headquarters ground in Vatuwaqa, Suva.

Fiji FA has made the decision due to the closure of Ratu Cakobau Park following heavy rainfall.

Fiji FA chief executive Mohammed Yusuf said prioritising the safety of players and fans is paramount, and relocating the matches to a safer venue is a prudent decision.

“I’m sure the teams and fans will understand the necessity for this change, and let’s hope for some exciting and safe matches despite the inconvenience.

‘’Cakobau Park was flooded with the adverse weather conditions last night and will take some time to ease which has forced the relocation of the matches,” Yusuf said.
