The Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women clinched a well-deserved 20-7 win against the Brumbies Women In the fourth round of the Super W rugby competition.
The scoring opened in the 13th minute with Sulita Waisega crossing the try line for the Drua, followed by a successful conversion to lead 7-0.
The Brumbies responded in the 25th minute as hooker Tania Naden powered through with a try from a rolling maul, with the conversion leveling the score at 7-7.
In the 35th minute, the Drua edged ahead again thanks to a penalty kick converted by Luisa Tisolo, making it 10-7.
The second half saw the Drua amplify their pressure, with Atelaite Buna scoring a try in the 52nd minute, and another successful conversion extended their lead to 17-7.
Drua Women’s strength was further evident in the 70th minute as they won a penalty off the scrum.
Opting for a kick at goal, Tisolo nailed the conversion, pushing the score to 20-7.
As the match approached its conclusion, Drua Women solidified their victory by kicking the ball into touch.
