Japan 7s Coach Simon Amor lauded Fiji as the perfect location for rugby during his team’s recent warm-up matches against the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team.
“There is no better place to play rugby than in Fiji,” he said.
He appreciated the ideal conditions provided by the local time zone and weather, which he described as perfect for the sport.
“For Fiji, because the time zone is very good and the weather is fantastic – it is an ideal place for us,” he affirmed.
On the other side, Osea Kolinisau, the coach of the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team, saw the matches as a vital opportunity to evaluate his players, particularly focusing on the younger talent.
“I wanted to test out the young boys, I just want to give them an experience of playing an overseas side,” Kolinisau mentioned.
As the Japan 7s team prepares to depart, the Fijian team remains focused on their upcoming participation in the Singapore 7s from May 3-5.
