Krishna goal seals Odisha victory

Odisha FC secured a 2-1 victory against Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the Indian Super League semi-final clash at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, with star striker Roy Krishna netting the decisive goal.

This win marks Odisha FC’s first-ever ISL victory over the Mariners after nine attempts and extends their unbeaten home streak to 13 matches this season.

The match opened with Manvir Singh quickly putting Mohun Bagan ahead in the third minute with one of the fastest goals in the ISL playoffs, only for Odisha FC to respond swiftly.

Carlos Delgado equalized for the home side, finding the net in the 12th minute following a well-executed corner by Ahmed Jahouh.

The first half continued to be a battle of tactics and pace, then Roy Krishna’s scored in the 39th minute.

Odisha FC’s goalkeeper Amrinder Singh launched a long ball during a goal-kick that Krishna skillfully controlled and then outpaced defender Hector Yuste to score.

The goal secured his position as the highest goal scorer for Odisha FC in a single ISL season with his 13th goal.
