Skipper Meli Derenalagi says the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will take plenty of lessons from their 34-10 Super Rugby Pacific opening loss to the Blues on Saturday.
Speaking after the match, Derenalagi said the team will identify their mistakes and learn from them in order to get ready for their clash with Moana Pasifika next week.
“We had lots of learning in this first game.”
“We played pretty well but there are a lot of work-ons to do. We will go back and learn from our mistakes and tighten up on our weaknesses in order to get ready for the next game in the Super Round next week.”
He said the 4 debutants had big shoes to fill but he liked playing with them.
“They played well but will definitely improve and get better as they play more games this season.”
The Drua will take on Moana Pasifika in its second match next Saturday at 6pm in Melbourne.
