Nalaubu returns amid injury woes for Lautoka

As champions Lautoka brace for their big Digicel Fiji Premier League clash against table leaders Rewa, star striker Sairusi Nalaubu will return to inject the much needed pace and skills upfront.

However, the team is simultaneously grappling with multiple injuries.

Seasoned midfielders Zibraaz Sahib, Ilisoni Logaivou and Edwin Sahayam are all out.

Sahib is out for four weeks due to an injury,  Logivou is also injured, while Edwin Sahayam is sidelined due to illness.

Additionally, the participation of skipper Siteveni Davulagi and forward Saula Waqa remains uncertain as their injuries will be assessed closer to kick-off this evening.

Interim President of Lautoka FA, Anand Laxman shared his thoughts on the challenges ahead,

“There will be setbacks, but we are looking to see how things unfold.”

“We are aware of Rewa’s strong lineup; they will definitely give us a good run. However, we are focused on giving them a tough match and doing our best.”

“The loss from Ba is still hurting, and now we’re trying to move on from that.”

Lautoka hosts Rewa at Churchill Park and the match kicks off at 7pm.
