Setbacks only fuel our drive to succeed: Roy

Digicel Bula Boys Captain and Fiji’s lone professional footballer, Roy Krishna says with a 2-0 win over the Solomon Islands, they have proven that setbacks only fuel their drive to succeed.

Krishna, who netted a goal in the victory said he is proud of the team’s effort and excited for what’s to come.

Following a 2-1 defeat in the first match on Monday, the Fijians turned the tables and put on a great show yesterday to beat their much higher ranked opponents on their home soil in Honiara.

“After a tough loss in our first encounter, our team rallied together, showcasing resilience and determination on the field,” said Krishna.

“We are thrilled to secure a solid comeback victory.”

The Rob Sherman coached side is likely to play more international matches in the next FIFA Window.
