Key defender Rahul Naresh has been ruled out of Ba’s crucial Digicel Fiji Premier League clash against Labasa today.
Naresh fractured his arm during training and will be out of action for some time.
Rooster Chicken Ba President Azam Ali while confirming this to FijiLive said Naresh’s unavailability comes as a further blow to the team.
“We already had two defenders ruled out and losing Rahul somewhat weakens our defence for the big match against Labasa,” said Ali.
“Kalaveti Sivoi and Mitieli Naiviro are out with double bookings and we will have to make adjustments to ensure our defence is stable and consistent.”
Despite the setback, Ali is confident about their chances.
“We have prepared well and know what to expect from Labasa. The result of this match is important to both teams so it will be a very tough encounter.”
The match kicks off at 1pm.
