Suva secures DFPL against Nasinu

Suva Whites achieved their first victory in the 5th round of the DFPL, edging out Nasinu 2-1 in a closely contested match at the FijiFA headquarters in Suva.

The match kicked off with Suva taking the lead in the 10th minute through Waisake Navunigasau, who found the net with a precise strike.

This early goal boosted Suva’s confidence, and they managed to maintain their slender lead going into halftime.

Nasinu determined to fight back, came out stronger in the second half.

Their efforts paid off when Nasinu’s Vanuatu Islander Newton Tabe, leveled the score  1-1.

However, Bruce Hughes scored the winning goal for Suva, securing the team’s victory and three points.
