Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says a letter from his office has been delivered to Minister Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Lynda Tabuya, outlining that the outcome of an investigation against her has ended and that she continues as a member of the Coalition Government.
Speaking to FijiLive, Rabuka confirmed he personally delivered the letter which he said, the Minister for Women is privy to, and that he will not comment any further.
“She remains in Cabinet,” the Prime Minister said.
FijiLive reached out to Tabuya who said it was an internal confidential memo and that she could not divulge the contents.
Tabuya said that: “Suffice to say I remain in Cabinet.”
Last month, the Peoples Alliance Party’s Executive Council in its meeting, removed Tabuya as its Deputy Party Leader.
The Party said this is after thoroughly discussing and considering the recommendation of the People’s Management Committee concerning the all edged sex and drug scandal involving Tabuya while on an official trip to the Parliament of Victoria last year.
