EFL postpones planned power shutdown

Energy Fiji Limited has retracted its announcement for a planned power shutdown that was earlier scheduled for tomorrow in the Vatuwaqa area.

EFL had earlier announced today that there is a planned power shut down for the entire Vatuwaqa Area which would include Laucala Bay where the current count of votes for the 2022 General Elections is ongoing.

There was a public outcry on social media after this announcement  and concerns from some politicians as well.

Meanwhile, the planned power shutdown for Sigatoka between 6.30am to 6pm tomorrow will go on as scheduled.
