Health facilities open, despite water disruptions

The Ministry of Health says in light of major water supply disruptions affecting the Suva area; all health facilities in the Suva area will remain open, in consultation with the Water Authority of Fiji.

The Ministry says it will issue public advisories should any changes to the operations of its facilities be necessary.

“Members of the public in affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions, such as storing water safely in clean containers and protecting it from contamination.”

“Those who are sick and need medical attention should continue to seek healthcare at their nearest health facility,” the statement said.
