Exercise shouldn’t be restricted by age: PM

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says exercise shouldn’t be restricted by age and should be part of our lifestyle.

In a motivational social media post today, Rabuka said after a wonderful Easter weekend, he started the day with a cardio workout and some basic exercises at the gym.

He said even at 75 years old, he is grateful that  he can still lift weights, do push-ups, and run on the treadmill.

“My goal is to walk 6000 steps every day, and I’m happy to say that it’s achievable.”

“Let’s all continue to stay fit and contribute to a healthier family, community and nation.”

“World Health Day is coming up on April 7th while tomorrow 2nd April is World Autism Day. Autism is a condition that affects millions of people around the world.”

“While it can present challenges and obstacles, it also brings unique strengths and perspectives. By understanding and celebrating these differences, we can create a more inclusive and compassionate society.”

He has urged all Fijians to be kind and accepting of each other.

“Let’s show love for our families by being conscious of our health and actively making healthier food choices! Keep moving for health, Team Fiji.”
