Kumar’s psychiatric report not ready, Court hears

The Office of the Director of Prosecutions has informed the Magistrates Court in Suva that the psychiatric evaluation report on terminated school teacher Kishore Kumar is not ready.

The accused appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate  Josaia Waqaivolavola yesterday.

Kumar is facing charges of claiming to possess a pornographic video of Assistant Minister for Home Affairs, Lenora Qereqeretabua was admitted at the hospital last is still at the Saint Giles Hospital.

He is charged with six counts of indecently annoying a person and one count of criminal intimidation.

ODPP lawyer Moira Konrote told the Court that Kumar was sick and is still admitted at the St Giles Hospital.

Kumar was referred to Magistrate Waqaivolavola on orders of Resident- Magistrate Seini Puamau to have his psychiatric evaluation application approved.

He was taken to the hospital on that same afternoon and was scheduled to return yesterday.

The matter has been adjourned to April 19, at 9:30 am for mention.
