Fiji in 11th spot after 2 gold medal wins on D4

Team Fiji added 2 Gold medals plus numerous Silver and Bronze medals on Day 4 of the Pacific Games in the Solomon Islands yesterday.

Gold came from Para Table Tennis Women’s Teams event and this is their first ever Gold medal in this event.

The para team of Mere Roden, Akanisi Latu and Laniana Serukalou defeated hosts Solomon Islands 4-1 in the gold medal playoff.

Swimmer Kelera Mudunasoko added her first Gold Medal at any Pacific Games.

Karate on the first day added 2 Silver and a Bronze medal.

Rugby League also won two medals. The Fiji men’s team won Silver after losing the final 8-0 to Samoa while the women’s team settled for a Bronze medal.

Fiji now has 3 Gold, 11 Silver and 9 Bronze medals.
