All Blacks 7s skipper Dylan Collier says club teams participating at the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s are just as competitive as the main Fiji 7s team.
“We’ve played here before, so looking forward for another awesome tournament. The Fijian boys they love their Seven’s, they have a really tough club competitions,” he said.
“Some of the club teams are just as good as the main Fijian team, so it’s always good to come up and play here.”
The All Blacks 7s, seeking to find their rhythm in the World Series view the tournament as an ideal platform for gaining crucial game time.
“We are not doing too well on the world series so we are just here to play a bit more.”
“We have a big tournament coming up at Hong Kong so we are just trying to prepare well for that,” he added.
New Zealand will face the Ravuka Sharks at 9.49 am at the HFC Stadium in the second Elimination Round for the Cup Quarters.
