The Fiji Meterological Services says that the trough of low pressure hovering the Fiji group is expected to bring heavy rain bands and more flooding.
Subsequently, a flash flood warning is now in force for all of Viti Levu.
The FMS says the warning for flood-prone areas, small streams, and low-lying areas of Lautoka, Nadi, Ba, Rakiraki, Sigatoka, Tavua, and Yaqara
An alert is also in force for flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of Ba and Waimanu Rivers.
The Nadi Weather Office said the trough of low pressure remains slow-moving over Viti Levu associated with clouds and showers and will continue to affect most parts of Fiji till this weekend.
A southeast-to-northwest wind flow continues to prevail over Fiji associated with heavy rain while significant rainfall was recorded for the last six hours.
It says that isolated thunderstorms with heavy falls are expected in the afternoon or evening.
