Fuel, gas prices further reduced

Fuel and Liquefied Petroleum Product (LPG) prices will fall further from tomorrow, 1 February 2024.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Co-operatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Communications, the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) has determined the new regulated price for unleaded petrol (motor spirit), premix, kerosene, diesel and LPG products.

Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Co-operatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Communications, Manoa Kamikamica said, “We are pleased to note that the prices of fuel and LPG for the month of February are reducing further.”

“This essentially reflects our commitment to minimize the financial burden and provide relief to all Fijian families.”

“The Ministry will continue to work closely with FCCC to monitor international movements for fuel prices hoping to provide more financial relief to consumers.”

The price of motor spirit falls by 12 cents per litre from $2.92 to $2.80, premix price decreases by 11 cents per litre from $2.73 to $2.62, kerosene price reduces by 8 cents per litre from $2.04 to $1.96 while the price of diesel falls from $2.61 to $2.50 per litre.

A 4.5Kg gas cylinder will now cost $15.58 after a decrease of 2 cents, the price of a 12kg cylinder falls by 5 cents from $41.60 to $41.55 while there are no changes to the price of bulk ($3.21 per kg) and auto gas ($2.25 per litre).
