Govt formulates report on election glitch

The Office of the Attorney-General is in the process of formulating a report on the  investigation into the technical glitch that occurred on the night of the 2022 General Election.

Turaga told FijiLive it will be premature for him to comment on the matter.

Electoral Commission Chairperson Barbara Malimali  had last week stated that the  consequences of the continued delay looms over the Government as it starts its second year in Government.

Malimali said this also casts a shadow over the local government elections that scheduled for this year.

She said the implication of this delay is a serious concern for the Electoral Commission.

The Chair added that the continued delay in undertaking an independent audit is not helping the Fijian Elections Office rebuild the trust of its stakeholders and the Fijian people.
