Fiji men’s squad named for Tri-Series

Netball Fiji today announced the Fiji Men’s team to play in the Tri-Series against the Fiji Pearls and Fiji Mix at the FMF Gymnasium.

The Tri Series is part of the Fiji Pearls preparation campaign ahead of the Netball World Cup in Cape Town.

A total of 4 teams were scheduled to take part in the then Quad Series but in an unfortunate turn of events the fourth team, USC Thunder from the Queensland Sapphire Series had to pull out due to recent unavailability of key players.

Fiji Men’s head coach Josaia Tuinamata said that team is selected to give the Fiji Pearls strong competitive matches.

“We select them through their fitness level, skills, attitude, and discipline. We were selected to be the training partner for the Fiji Pearls, and we’re trying to give the Pearls a good run before they’re selected at the end of the Tri Series.”

“With the competitiveness that the men have, we will give the Pearls a good match that’ll test their fitness and composure. I know that our mens team will give the Pearls a good edge before they go to the World Cup,” added Tuinamata.

The Tri Series is scheduled from the 27th to 30th of March at the FMF Gymnasium.

The Fiji Men’s Netball Team: Amena Nacavaraba, Kitione Waqavonovono, Abraham Watkins, Poasa Ravoka, Anasa Waqa, Peniasi Finau, Joji Boseanakadavu, Malakai Nasusu, Savenaca Sorovaki, Mark Vateitei, Atama Waqanivavalagi, Rarawa Vulimainarita, Vilive Wainidroa, Nacanieli Goneyali, Josevata Cati.
