NZ bows out, Army to face Barbarians in final

The All Blacks 7s side bowed out of the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s after losing its semifinal clash 10-0 to the DXC Barbarians at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva today.

The Tomasi Cama Jnr coached side was tested in nearly all of its matches in the tournament and managed to sneak away with narrow wins, but the semifinal was a different ball game altogether as the Barbarians, who were marshaled by Vatemo Ravouvou starved them of possession and put on their A-game.

Meanwhile, Army Green thumped Dominion Brothers 24-0 in the first semifinal.

The grand final between Barbarians and Army Green will kick off at 7.30pm.
