Rewa successfully defends Sanatan title

Rewa successfully defended the 62nd Sanatan Inter District Championship title at Subrail Park today beating hosts Labasa 2-1 in a thrilling final.

The Roderick Singh coached side laced with Rewa, Tailevu Naitasiri and Suva reps entered the final as favorites.

The Babasiga Lions scored first via a Manish Deo penalty but the Delta Tigers were determined to return home with their trophy and scored two unanswered goals through Suva midfielder Ravnesh Karan Singh to end their campaign on a high.

The side also had the likes of Neemish Prasad, Delon Shankar, Prashant Chand, Nischal Lal, Shivam Shandil and Ivan Kumar.

Earlier in the semifinals, Rewa beat Tuva 2-0 while Labasa overcame Uluisila 4-2 in penalties.

Meanwhile, Ravnesh Karan Singh scooped the Golden Boot award while young Neemish Prasad was named the Player of the Tournament.
