The Attorney-General Siromi Turaga has confirmed that former diplomat Luke Rokovada has been named the new chair of the Public Service Commission.
Other members of the Commission are Avi Raju, former People’s Alliance candidate Mereseini Baleilevuka, Nesbitt Hazelman, Mahmood Khan and Vilitati Mataitini.
Last Thursday, the Constitutional Offices Commission (COC) sent its list of nominees to His Excellency the President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere for endorsement.
It is understood that the board has several issues that they need to immediately deal with and will be deliberating on these matters as soon as possible.
