Stay focused, Singh tells PALM Scheme workers

Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Agni Deo Singh has urged Fijians working under the PALM Scheme in Australia to remain focused, committed and dedicated.

While visiting workers in Wagga Wagga yesterday, Singh reiterated the Fiji Government’s commitment to supporting them and fostering an environment that encourages their success and well-being.

With the aim to inspire and motivate, Singh underscored the significant contributions of Fijian workers to their families back home, the Fiji Government, as well as for the Australian workforce and Government.

Singh also acknowledged the extraordinary efforts and dedication exhibited by the workers, who continue to play an integral role and for opening doors for other potential Fiji citizens.

The meeting also provided an important platform for Teys and Junees’ workers to engage with the Employment Minister, sharing their experiences and concerns.

As the workers continue to face unique challenges, Singh urged them to follow the grievance procedure and report any matters of concerns with the Country Liaison Officer (CLO) who will be the face of the Fiji Government on the ground in dealing with worker welfare issues.
