Botitu scores last minute winner

A last minute try by Olympian and Flying Fijians utility back Vilimoni Botitu helped Castres secure a 26-22 win over Pau in a French Top 14 thriller in Stade Pierre-Fabre today.

Botitu and fellow Fijian Filipo Nakosi scored a try on either side of the half to get the win.

The teams were leveled 13-13 at half-time with Nakosi and Pau winger Jack Maddocks scoring the only tries of the first half.

Castres shot-caller Benjamin Urdapilleta also kicked a conversion and two penalties with opposite number Zack Henry mirrioring the same.

Henry added three more penalties in the second half to put them in front, before Urdapilleta and Julien Dumora added a penalty each ahead of Botitu’s match winner.

Dumora also converted Botitu’s try.
