Valentine’s brace secures Nadi’s win

Nadi secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Tailevu Naitasiri in their opening match of the 2024 Digicel Fiji Premier League at Prince Charles Park today.

Skipper William Valentine led by example and scored twice to ensure his team’s dominance on the field.

The match began with a well-executed set piece near the goal, allowing Valentine to open the scoring.

This early lead was soon doubled when Vishant Reddy’s free kick gave Solomon Islander Junior Rocky the chance for a direct strike into the goal, ending the first half with the kamal Swamy side leading 2-0.

Tailevu Naitasiri showed signs of a comeback in the second half with Abhishek Deo managing to find the back of the net.

However, Valentine’s outstanding performance continued as he secured his brace with a penalty, sealing the win for Nadi.
