Ravouvou aims to impart 7s wisdom to team

2016 Olympic Gold medalist, Vatemo Ravouvou says he values sharing his 7s experience with the current crop of players.

Ravouvou, who featured for the DXC Barbarians at the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s in the weekend and helped the club reach the Cup final told FijiLive he is always ready to give back and assist in the growth of the sport.

“I’m very happy playing for the Barbarians, there are plenty of young boys in the team so I just want to share my 7s knowledge, give back to the boys what I have learnt and back them up for their rugby career,”  he said.

The DXC Barbarians lost 17-5 to the mighty Army Greee in the final and Ravouvou was among the consistent performers throughout the tournament.

After the Marist 7s, attention turns to new Fiji 7s head coach Osea Kolinisau as he evaluates player selection.

Recalled Ravouvou, along with several current 7s players were seen playing for various teams, aiming to prove their worth for selection.
