Nadera aggravated robbery suspect remanded

A 24-year-old man has been remanded by the Magistrates Court in Nasinu for his involvement in a aggravated robbery case in Nadera last week.

Etuate Koroisau appeared before Resident Magistrate Sufia Hamza charged with one count of aggravated robbery, contrary to Section 31 (1) (b) of the Crimes Act of 2009.

The charge was read out in Court and understood by Koroisau

It is alleged that on 19 March 2024, in the Nasinu Central Division, Koroisau robbed one Ashneet Pande by using a pocket knife to stab his right arm, right cheek, and left chin and stole two shop balancing books, one red JBL Bluetooth Speaker valued at $600, and J2 Prime Digital phone valued at $150, two phone chargers, one BH10 sleeve (gross) valued at $89 and one BH20 valued at $19.20 to the total of $716.00 and at the time of the robbery assaulted the said victim.

Full disclosures have been served to the accused and the matter has been transferred to the High Court in Suva for mention on 5 April.
