Warriors trio ruled out with injuries

The Rooster Chicken Fiji Warriors have faced a setback as three key players sustained serious injuries during their first game against Tonga A in the 2024 Pacific Challenge.

Fly-half Aisea Nawai, outside centre Sivo Lumelume, and winger Bronson Lee have all been ruled out for the remainder of the tournament due to their injuries.

Fiji Warriors’ head coach Senirusi Seruvakula confirmed that Nawai sustained an ankle injury, while Lumelume and Lee both suffered ACL injuries.

He further added that Nawai is currently back in Fiji for recovery, and replacements for the injured players have already flown into Samoa to join the team.

Fiji Warriors are preparing to face Japan XV in their next match which is scheduled for 15th April at 11.30 am.
