Bred Bank opens first branch in North

Individuals and businesses in the Northern Division now have more banking options following the opening of Bred Bank’s Labasa Branch today.

While commissioning the $4 million bank branch, Minister for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, Charan Singh highlighted one of the Coalition Government’s aims was to create equal opportunity for every citizen, and such investment by the Bank is a major boost to the Northern economy.

He said it is the Government’s responsibility to increase competitiveness in the market place to promote innovation, technological advancement and economic sustainability.

“This new premises is a great addition and inspiration to the fresh phase of developments happening in Labasa and indeed Bred Bank’s presence with its financial services adds commercial and economic value that will empower the people of the North.”

Bred Bank is looking to open more branches in the Division in the near future.
