Have faith in the team says skipper Daveua

As the Fijiana 7s team gears up for the Hong Kong 7s, Skipper Raijeli Daveua calls for support from fans asking for continued encouragement and belief in the team’s capabilities.

“Don’t lose hope, keep supporting us, the ladies need you. We have been receiving negative comments, it’s not easy for us but the girls are working hard,” said the skipper.

Daveua candidly spoke about the team’s recent challenges, particularly their journey through the quarterfinals, and their collective ambition to push further.

“We are aiming to improve on that; we’ll take one game at a time,”

“We have everything we need; we’ve trained hard for this. Now, we just need to be mentally prepared,” she said

The Fijiana 7s squad is set to face Australia at 4.25pm on Friday, followed by South Africa at 7.12pm, with their final pool game against Ireland at 3.02pm on Saturday.
