Kunatuba confident about title defence

Defending Women’s champion Seahawks are confident of retaining their title at the 2023 McDonald’s Coral Coast Sevens at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

Seahawks head coach Elenoa Kunatuba said after winning two games, they now targetted a top of the pool finish.

“We have done well so far, but we want to finish top of the pool.”

With most of their top players still in the Fijiana 7s camp, Kunatuba said she was impressed with the younger players stepping-up.

“We only have Aloesi Nakoci who was released from the Fijiana 7s camp.

“However our younger players have stepped up to the challenge”

The Seahawks beat Navosa 24-14 yesterday before hammering Savusavu 32-0 today.

They take on Stop Violence Police in their pool-decider at 3.28pm today.
