Mekawir’s early strike keeps Navua in Top 4

An early goal by Solomon Islander Ali Mekawir saw Navua post a 1-0 victory over Tailevu Naitasiri in their Round 7 Digicel Fiji Premier League clash at the Uprising Sports Centre in Pacific Harbour today.

The win also bolsters Navua’s Fiji FACT qualification chances as the side remains in the top four with two rounds to go before the tournament.

For Tailevu Naitasiri, the result frustrates them further as they remain in the bottom two and ninth on the standing with only four points from seven outings.
