Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs Lenora Qereqeretabua welcomed the Fijian Drua Women and commended their performance in the Super W final on behalf of the Coalition Government, despite their 50-14 loss to the Waratahs.
“Though the final score might not reflect a victory, the courage and unity you displayed on the field have made Fiji proud. It’s not all about the trophies but the character you show in the face of adversity,” she stated.
The Minister encouraged the team to use this experience as a stepping stone for future success.
“Let this setback fuel your determination to come back stronger, train harder, and chase your dreams with even greater passion. You are not just a team but a sisterhood bound by a shared love for the game,” Qereqeretabua added.
She concluded her remarks by motivating the team to look forward, reminding them that “today just marks the beginning of a new chapter. Hold your heads up high.”
