Nasinu beats Navua, moves to 9th spot

Nasinu has moved up a place up in the 2024 Digicel Fiji Premier League after beating Navua 3-1 in their Round 8 fixture at the Fiji FA headquarters ground in Vatuwaqa today.

The tensed affair saw all the goals scored in the second half after a goalless first period.

The scoring opened in the 73rd minute when Navua’s Jared Rongosulia successfully scored a penalty, giving his team a brief lead.

However, Nasinu quickly turned the tables, with Manasa Levaci equalising through a splendid free-kick just five minutes later in the 78th minute.

Momentum firmly shifted in Nasinu’s favor as Ryan Chandra, assisted by Solomon Islander Don Keana, put Nasinu ahead with a well-executed second goal.

Keana then capped off his impressive performance by scoring the third goal himself, sealing a strong comeback victory for Nasinu.
