Nawari appointed Fiji Airports CEO

Mesake Nawari has been appointed the new chief executive of Fiji Airports after the successful conclusion of the selection process.

Fiji Airports Board in a statement said the decision comes after a comprehensive evaluation of numerous qualified candidates and a rigorous assessment of their skills and expertise.

The board said Nawari is a transformational and strategic leader who established, rejuvenated and led several successful organisations in Fiji and the region including Fiji Television Group Limited, Fijian Holdings Unit Trust, Unit Trust of Fiji and the South Pacific Stock Exchange.

He is a corporate finance and investment adviser, coach, trainer and mentor in the areas of strategic finance, corporate governance, financial institutions’ development, investments, portfolio management, risk management, performance management, and organisational re-engineering, change management and executive management development.

Nawari has served as a Board Director and Trustee of various corporate bodies and financial institutions in Fiji, PNG, and China and is currently the Acting Chairman of the Unit Trust of Fiji Limited.
